DOES GOD STILL NEED THE CHURCH?

The past 40 years have seen staggering rates of church decline in western Europe and North America. No single denomination is immune to this attrition, with many church leaders scrambling to come up with a solution to the problem. Some have even called for Christians to abandon the so-called normal church for new and creative communities in order to engage modern culture. But, what if the solution isn't anything new, but something old? Jesus said that the gates of Hell will never prevail against His church, and so, we must ask, "What is the Church?" and "Does God still need the Church?”   

Join us on January 10 at 6pm in Triplett Hall for this special one hour program led by John Suits.  John current lives in Knoxville and most recently was a pastor at one of the fastest growing churches in the nation located in Idaho.  He holds a MDiv. from Emmanuel Christian Seminary and was the worship leader for the Wesley Foundation at ETSU under Rev. Jerry Everley.
